A NOAA-surveyed obstruction with a least depth of about 88 feet over roughly 103 feet of modeled bottom, 28.5 nautical miles west of Longboat Pass. The chart doesn't say what it is. It's one of four obstructions from the 2019 survey charted within about 5 nautical miles of each other, each roughly 7 to 15 feet above the bottom.

How to fish it

Confirm it on the sounder first. Treat it as a bottom spot for grouper and snapper, and move on if nothing shows.

Watch out for: Unknown structure, so there's a snag risk, on a long open-Gulf run.
Rules here: Federal waters: federal Gulf reef fish rules, the State Reef Fish Angler designation, circle hooks and a dehooking tool. Carry a descending device. The rules to check in Sarasota offshore waters
