The north bridge to Siesta Key, crossing the Intracoastal Waterway at the narrow north end of Roberts Bay. NOAA charts it as a bascule with fixed approaches and about 25 feet of closed clearance, and predicts tidal currents here ('Sarasota Bay, south end, bridge').

How to fish it

FWC's snook researchers recommend fishing the edge of the light under bridges and docks on warm-season nights, and the outgoing tide in general. Sheepshead and mangrove snapper sit on the fenders and pilings; fish the down-current side as the tide runs.

Watch out for: Intracoastal traffic and bridge openings all day. Current through the fenders can pin a small boat.
Rules here: FWC's Sarasota Bay region. Obey posted signs on and near the bridge. The rules to check in Sarasota inshore waters
