A Manatee County reef about 7 nautical miles west of Bean Point and 7.3 from Egmont Key Light, in 40 to 42 feet of state water. FWC lists tires and concrete rubble from 1976, about 290 concrete light poles and concrete boxes (2006 and 2007), and limestone boulders, culverts and bridge slabs (2009), with 10 to 18 feet of relief. NOAA's 2019 survey charted three dangerous wrecks with about 30 to 37 feet over them within about 0.1 to 0.4 nautical miles of FWC's points, which fits high-relief material here.

How to fish it

Bottom fish the higher-relief rock and slab piles, and troll around the area for kingfish in spring and fall. The Misener Barge is about 2 nautical miles east-northeast, so you can fish both on one trip.

Watch out for: Open Gulf about 7 nautical miles out, close to the Egmont Channel approach and its ships. The charted gas pipeline runs about 2.4 nautical miles north. Material may have shifted (FWC).
Rules here: State water: FWC's reef fish gear rules and the State Reef Fish Angler designation apply. The rules to check in Tampa Bay nearshore waters
