A Pinellas County reef about 7 nautical miles west of Pass-a-Grille, in state water. The county lists a 200-foot barge as its main feature, and FWC lists three loads of culverts (1983) and nine M-60 Army tanks numbered #2 to #10 (1995). The depths disagree: FWC gives 25 feet, the county 34 to 36.

How to fish it

An easy run from Pass-a-Grille or Fort De Soto. Find the tank and barge pieces on the sounder and bottom fish them, and slow-troll live baits around the area for kingfish in spring and fall.

Watch out for: Open Gulf: a westerly wind stacks up a short, steep chop over the shallow shelf. FWC rates these positions low accuracy (old LORAN conversions), and both FWC and the county say reef material moves, so trust your sounder.
Rules here: State water: FWC's reef fish gear rules and the State Reef Fish Angler designation apply. The rules to check in Tampa Bay nearshore waters
